Hi, I’m Pam Stahl, and this is my first year as Curriculum Coach here at McAlear Sawden. This year I will also be adding the role of RtI Coordinator (Response to Intervention) for McAlear. I have been teaching in the Bay City Public School System for fourteen years as a Preschool, Third Grade and Kindergarten teacher.
As Curriculum Coach I help staff in finding the best ways to teach our curriculum to every student. It is part of my job to make sure that we are always learning as professionals and to provide support for teachers as they learn and try new things. I also help analyze our school’s assessments and work on our School Improvement Plan. In my role as RtI Coordinator, I will be involved in leading intervention teams along with the building principal, working to provide early support to struggling students.
We have recently added an Intervention piece in Kindergarten called KIDS (Kindergarten Intervention Develops Success) We are grouping all the children by ability for our English Language Arts block.
I have three beautiful children; Lauren at Oakland University, Kyle at Western University and Lesley at Northwood University. They will all three be graduating in 2010 and will be out in the job world.
